Obituary
Dorothy Elizabeth Wadleigh, age 86, of Rapid City, formerly of Hot Springs, died August 20, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center in Rapid City.
Dorothy was born on a farm, April 22, 1920 near Hurley, South Dakota to Asa Clyde Sipe and Sadie Florence (Hershey) Sipe. She attended elementary school in rural Clark County, SD and graduated from Clark High School.
Dorothy married Robert Wadleigh in 1941. They moved to Hot Springs in 1946 where her husband worked at the VA Medical Center. Dorothy worked at the Lutheran Hospital and VA Medical Center until her retirement.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert (Sandra) Wadleigh of San Benito, TX; Bruce (ChomSan) of Belleview, NE; daughter, Susan (Rick) McMichael of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Thursday, August 24, 2006 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Friday, August 25, 2006 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
