Earl Harold Sheets, 69, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away December 28, 2012, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs.

Earl was born in Custer County, August 3, 1943, to Glen and Leona (Rasmussen) Sheets of Hot Springs. Earl spent many of his younger years working on a dairy farm in eastern South Dakota. After moving back to Hot Springs he enjoyed doing yard work and gardening around town for residents , especially the elderly and would help out anybody doing anything they asked. Earl also worked at Dale's restaurant for some time. He was a very giving person asking nothing in return.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2012, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Rev. Morris Nelson officiating.

Earl is survived by his son, Edward Sheets of Hot Springs; brother, Glen 'Tuffy' (Patricia) Sheets of Kent, WA; Joseph (Carol) Sheets of Stuart, OK; half-brother, John Asche of Borrego Springs, CA; half-sisters, Norma Craft of Sioux City, IA; Lucille (Dean) Sturdivant of Orin, WY; Lola Smith of McKinney, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
