Edith 'Avo' Carroll, age 91, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away February 23, 2014, at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs.
Avo was born April 20, 1922, in Smith, Alberta, Canada, to John Milton and Edith Julia Riggins.
Avo is survived by her three daughters, Sheila (Don) Devries of Hot Springs; Pamela Hancock of Telluride, CO; Darla Jenkins of Pueblo, CO; brother, Lloyd Riggins of Sidney, MT; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held in Colorado at a later date.
