IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edward H.
Tubbs Jr.
November 26, 1949 – May 19, 2024
Edward H Tubbs Jr was born November 26 , 1949 to Edward and Marjorie (Hardman) Tubbs in Hot Springs, SD. He was raised in Edgemont, SD. He married Virginia (Ginger) Carlson in 1973 and had 3 children, Amber, Brian and Jason who died as an infant. He grudgingly worked for the Burlington Northern railroad as a conductor and happily retired after 40 years of service. He enjoyed working with his cousin Mark at the ranch. He loved being in the hayfield, going to brandings and of course shipping day. He also loved fishing and hunting. Ed restored Oliver tractors and got into tractor pulling with his brother Ben. He raised a flock of registered Corriedale sheep and followed that show circuit around Wyoming and South Dakota promoting the breed. He had a small herd of cattle after he retired and got out of the sheep business. He loved working on his yard and home, especially in his shop he had built. He was a great mechanic and could fix almost anything. He always said he knew a little about a lot of things but not a lot about little things.
He is survived by his daughter Amber, Grandson Kristopher, brother Ben (Patty) Tubbs, sister Melanie (Jim) Ditsch, nephews Matt (Kelsey) Ditsch and children Sutton and Eleanor, Paul (Michaela Kraft) Ditsch, and Gary Ditsch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marjorie and sons Brian and Jason.
