Edward Herman Wilhelm Heiser, 87 is now realizing the blessed hope of heaven as he departed this mortal life on Friday, November 17, 2006.

He was the son of Otto Frederick Heiser and Ida Charlotte (Becker) Heiser. Edward was born in Clayton, (Hutchison County) South Dakota on July 1, 1919.

Edward worked for several ranchers and farmers in the Edgemont/Ardmore area before starting his career with the federal government. He retired in 1970. At this time he moved to Provo, SD and lived there until 2004. He moved to Cactus Hills Assistant Living in Edgemont, SD and lived there until the time of his death.

Edward enjoyed spending time with his sisters, Ida Stearns, Charlotte Mitchell, Lillian Fay and his brother Otto Heiser. He liked talking about the good old days with his nephews and nieces.

Edward took pride in his vegetable garden, one of the best in the area.

Edward was a member of the Assemblies of God and loved attending church, music, praying and reading his Bible. He supported many Christian ministries throughout the years.

He is survived by several nephews and nieces, one brother-in-law Rev. Leon Mitchell of Missouri and one sister-in-law Emma Heiser of Nebraska.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Lillian Fay, Ida Stearns, Charlotte Mitchell and one brother, Otto Heiser.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday, November 22, 2006.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Assembly of God Church in Edgemont, SD with Kirk Rohde officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery in Edgemont, SD.
