Emelia (Minnie) M. Moulton, 79, of Custer, SD passed away at Custer Hospital on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Minnie was born on May 12, 1945, in Eureka, SD, to Jacob and Mathilda Malsam. As a young child, she lived on her family's farm near Hosmer, SD, before the family moved to Pierre, SD.
In 1962, she married Dennis F. Moulton in Pierre. Together, they lived in various locations across the United States while raising their three children. In 1978, they settled in Custer, SD, but left in 1985 to travel internationally for 13 years due to Dennis's job. They returned to Custer in 1998. Throughout their marriage, they were inseparable, enjoying golf, building homes, and hunting and fishing together. They celebrated 62 glorious years of marriage.
Minnie is survived by her husband, Dennis; three children, Laura (Rico) Gibson, Keven Moulton, and Cindy (Reginald) Hughes; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Wendell (Rose) Malsam and Ronald (Rebecca) Malsam, and her sister, Bernadette (Jim) Tucker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marvin, and her two sisters, Jean Kiesel and Carolyn Benson.
Minnie will be remembered as a loving wife and mother. A Celebration of Life is planned during Christmas, with burial at the Custer Cemetery.
