Obituary

Everett Allan Dawson, age 42, of Hot Springs, passed away June 8, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Everett was born August 23, 1969, to Merlin N. and Patricia Dawson in Hot Springs SD. He was raised in Hot Springs and attended the Hot Springs Schools and will forever be a classmate to the Class of 1987.

Everett's passion was baseball. He began by joining the local little league team. As a young boy Everett could be found across the street from where he grew up doing his job as the "Bat Boy" for the Yogi's Den "Do it" team, or whoever needed someone to shag them bats off the field. In his youth he was a member of the Legion Baseball team. Oh how he loved to pitch. Having burn out throws was something he liked to try and convince his sisters to do with him. It only took them one time and the game was over. You could drive by his parent's house and see Everett outside pitching into a bail of straw or playing catch with his Dad.

On August 21, 1987, Katherine Rene' was born to Everett and Norma Haacke. On September 21, 1988, Everett and Norma were married. On March 4, 1992, Rebecca Ann was born. Everett worked at various jobs as a ranch hand in South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa.

Returning to South Dakota Everett was employed by Hill's Material Company.

On August 2, 1998, Everett married Julie Eisenrich and on May 8, 2000, Jiliane Courtney was born. Everett and Julie lived in Oregon where he followed in his father's footsteps by owning and operating his own plumbing business.

In 2008 Everett returned to Hot Springs to operate his Father's business upon his retirement.

In 2011 Everett went back to Oregon and was employed at Home Depot until returning to South Dakota in January of 2012. Everett had recently been hired to work at Mammoth Homes.
Everett enjoyed lots of things in life; spending time with his family, children and friends. He enjoyed playing softball as well as pool and darts.

Everett will be truly missed by all.
