Fay George Fletcher, 93, died Wednesday, December 14, 2006, at Custer Regional Senior Care in Custer, SD.
He was born July 22, 1913, in Akron, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur G. and Hazel Fletcher, two brothers Howard and William, and wife LuElla. Fay graduated from high school in Lane, SD, in 1931. He graduated from the Dunwoody Institute of baking in 1937 and owned bakeries in Hot Springs and Custer. Fay was a life member of the Elks Club, and held a private pilot's license since 1948. He was a driver's license examiner for 10 years for Custer, Fall River, Shannon and Bennet Counties.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Gary) Judson of Custer, SD; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
No memorial service will be held.
