Florence Irma Temlitz Beseke, age 96, passed away January 11, 2017, at her home in Oelrichs, SD.

Florence was born November 28, 1920, to Henry and Ricky (Kalmbrunn) Temlitz in Jackson, MN. She lived on a farm near Jackson her first six years, until the family moved to a farm south of Lakefield, MN, where she spent the remainder of her childhood.

During the war years Florence worked for Fairmont Railway Motors in support of the war effort. In August of 1947, she married Arlo Beseke and resided near Alpha, MN, until 1950. In January of 1950, they moved to Oelrichs to farm and ranch. They ran the ranch and farm until 1978 before moving into Oelrichs. At this time Florence went to work at the school cafeteria with Leona Dryden.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ricky Temlitz; brothers, William and Arnold; sister, Dorothy, her husband, Arlo; and a son, Wayne.

Florence leaves a daughter, Cheryl Hunt; sons, Roger (Joyce) Beseke; Ronald Beseke; Curtis Beseke; as well as three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD, with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery Near Oelrichs.

Memorials in Florence's name may be made to the Oelrichs Volunteer Ambulance Service in Oelrichs.
