Frances Jean Wittenberg died on January 15, 2007 at age 64 of cancer.
She was born September 23, 1942 in Douglas, Wyoming to Alexander S. and Minna L. Cross. She lived in Hot Springs for 40 years where she raised her children and was business manager of the veterinary clinic until that business was taken from her in October of 2003.
She worked at the SD State Veterans Home, and was an active member of St. Anthony's parish in Hot Springs.
Frances was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Debbie Drew, her husband, Darren Drew, their children, Alexander and Zachery; son, Greg Wittenberg, his wife, Nannette, their three daughters, Sophia, Grace and Vanessa; and daughter, Kim Wittenberg. Also by her three sisters, Elsie Deninger, Dorothy Cross and Margaret Vellinga, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The wake service will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 18, 2007 at St. Anthony's Church with Father Peter Kovarik officiating
The funeral will be at 10:00 am, Friday, January 19, 2007 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hot Springs with Father Peter Kovarik officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
A memorial has been established in her name for the St. Anthony's Building Fund.
