Obituary
Gary Diedtrich, of Custer, loving father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, November, 15 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Gary was born on November 30, 1950, in Hoven, SD, to Jacob and Alma (Allmendinger) Diedtrich. He grew up in Selby, SD. He was retired from the South Dakota Department of Transportation. In his retirement he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendi (Travis) Schnabel of Mitchell, SD; Hilary (Scott) Mason of Sioux Falls, SD; one son, Jacob Diedtrich of Rapid City, SD; his mother Alma Diedtrich of Selby,SD; one brother, Gene (Joyce) Diedtrich of Newcastle, WY; three sisters, Renada Wendland of Belle Fourche, SD; Della (Bob) Flocchini of Aberdeen, SD; Donna Bland of Rapid City, SD, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November, 19, 2011, at the Custer Lutheran Fellowship with Pastor Kent Narum and Pastor Tom Opoien officiating.
