Obituary

Geoffrey (Jeff) Scott Goldey, 65, died February 6, 2026, at his home in Parker, Colorado.

Jeff was born August 7, 1960, in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Robert C. and Claudia D. (Gervasi) Goldey. He grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota and graduated high school from Saint Martin’s Academy. He earned a Bachelor Degree of Psychology from Black Hills State University, followed by a Master of Social Work Degree from Arizona State University.

He worked in social work in Arizona for several years before moving to Colorado in 2000. He changed fields to be an engineering technician at EchoStar Corporation, where he worked for 20 years.

He is survived by his brother Greg (and wife Laurie) from Castle Pines, Colorado, and a niece Jordan Goldey from Orlando, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He had a love for music and collected electric guitars. He enjoyed camping and rock climbing in the Colorado mountains with family and friends. He especially enjoyed the challenge of summitting the Colorado 14ers.

He had many friends in the Parker area and will be missed by all.

Burial services will be held on April 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
