Hans Michael "Mike" Schlomer, of Hot Springs, died Friday February 7, following a lengthy illness. He was 63 years of age. Mike was born March 28,1956 in Cologne, Germany to Hans and Gertrud (Gutthardt) Schlomer.

At the age of 6, his family came to the United States and settled in Denver, Colorado where he resided until his illness. He graduated from South High School in 1975, and from Colorado University in 1979. He was a mechanical engineer by trade. He loved muscle cars and was an avid collector.

He was preceded in death by both parents and by his beloved Aunt Erika.  He is survived by his cousin Heidi Barion, of Cologne, Germany, and her children Joy Hamacher of Nice, France and Christopher Hamacher of Cologne, Germany.

He had many special friends including Mandy Hager, Molly Sciumbato and Mitch Becker,  all of Denver, and Dean Glenn, of Edgemont.
