Helen Ruth Erickson, age 96, of Hill City, SD, passed away on May 9, 2015, at the Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer, SD.
Helen was born on September 6, 1918, to Franklin and Anna (Bergstrum) Wahlheim in Geneseo, IL. She worked hard as a Registered Nurse for various medical centers.
Helen is survived by her sons, Ralph (Karen) Erickson of Kirkwood, MO and Paul (Marie) Erickson of Aurora, CO.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, Kenneth Wahlheim and Harold Wahlheim.
A visitation will be held 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, with Pastor Eric Grinager officiating.
Committal services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, SD.
