Herberta J. Gossel, 89, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away August 9, 2021, at her residence in Hot Springs, SD.

Herberta Gossel was born May 21, 1932, in Hot Springs, SD, in the Hospital, which is now the Evans Hotel Annex, to Robert and Violet Judd.

She lived with her parents on the Judd homestead, by the Cheyenne River and Oral, until 5 years of age. At that time, they moved to the 7-11 Ranch. She attended school for 3 years in Buffalo Gap and then in Hot Springs, graduating in 1950. She attended Chadron State College.

She married Bill Eisenbarth in 1954, in which 2 children were born, Bob and Vickie. Bill and Herberta were separated and divorced. She also married Neil Roth in 1961 and they divorced in 1963. She worked at the VA and retired after 33 years. She married Fred Gossel in 1968, for 43 years of marriage, until his death.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands.

She is survived by her 2 children, Bob (Deb Gluyas) Eisenbarth of Hot Springs, SD; Vickie Cass (Chad Dinges) of Laramie, WY; 3 Grandsons, Cy (Ami) Cass of Laramie, WY; Nate Eisenbarth of California; Clay (Bethany) Cass of Laramie, WY; 2 great grandchildren, Calli and Caison (Cy). She is also survived by her sister, Irene (Don, deceased) Hanson; niece, April (Terry) Donovan and extended family, Jackie Uhl and Penni Uhl Chesmore.  She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and close close family friends.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 13, 2021, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs, SD.   Committal services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
