Hobert Scarberry, Jr., age 66, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at his home in Custer, SD.

Hobert was born March 13, 1945 in Columbus, OH to Hobert Warren and Jane (Jordan) Scarberry.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of Custer; son Timothy (Michelle) Scarberry of Ft. Collins, CO; daughter, Melissa (Pat) Lannon of Port St. Lucie, FL; step-sons, Adam (Carrie) McClurg of Gambier, OH; Daniel McClurg of Delaware, OH; brothers, John Scarberry of Custer; James (Dana) Scarberry of Amanda, OH; Doug (Dana) Scarberry of Oakland, OH; Larry Scarberry of Zanesville, OH; Fred (Candace) Scarberry of Amanda, OH; Ed (Brenda) Scarberry of Amanda, OH; and five grandchildren, Chelsie Le Master; Kaylie Le Master; Brandon Le Master; Christopher Scarberry and Michael Scarberry.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen, his parents and grandson, Benjamin Dane Scarberry.

A private family service has been planned.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Hobert's name to benefit the American Cancer Society.
