Ida Fay Merrill, age 70, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away December 28, 2013, at her daughter's home in Edgemont, SD.

Ida was born October 19, 1943, in Pierre, SD, to Agnes Tobin. She worked at the VA Hospital. She loved to crochet, do word search puzzles, and sew. She was a provider, hardworking, loving, caring, compassionate and giving person.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Joe) Peters of Edgemont, SD; Cindy Madsen of Rapid City, SD; Chris Bettelyoun of MN; sons, Rich Merrill of Keystone, SD; Steve (Jennifer) Merrill of Hot Springs, SD; Leonard (Theresa) Bettelyoun of Spearfish, SD; brothers, Lowell Weisz of Hot Springs; Martin (Karen) Weisz of CA; 15 grandchildren: MaLinda (Nathan) Morgan, Rebecca (Ben) Venables, Angela Merrill, Kimberly Merrill, Kyle Moren, Keauna Moren, Jacob Merrill, Issac Merrill, Justin, Casey Fisher, Jayme Fisher, Janelle Fischer, Devon Maher, Alicia & Trent, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Ida is preceded in death by her mother, Agnes Tobin; son, Gerald Bettelyoun; & brother, Curtis Weisz .

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014, at McColley's Chapels of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs with Pastor Gary Jacobson officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs.
