Myrtle Nyquist was born November 2, 1917, to Lee and Ida Cornwell. She went home to be with our Lord on January 26th, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Mountain view Care Center in Bozeman, MT.

Myrtle was born and raised in Glasgow, MT, on her family's ranch.

On January 29th of 1953 she married Jay W. Nyquist. They lived and ranched in Glasgow until 1963 when they started the first of their many moves that eventually led them to Edgemont, SD, in 1989.

Myrtle touched the lives of everyone she came in touch with; she worked man years not only ranching but also as a Personal Home Care Provider to many people. She also worked at Cactus Hills in Edgemont until she was 80 years old at which time she had to quit due to a car accident, whit continuing health problems. She was always cheerful and willing to help however she could. She had a true love for life and all of God's creations.

Myrtle and Jay had one daughter and one Son.

Myrtle is preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister and four brothers and her husband.

She is survived by daughter Karen Rose Nyquist of Three Forks, Mt, and son Wilson Jay, wife Eva, their son Dillon Jake Nyquist, of Edgemont: as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Myrtle is dearly loved and we will miss her greatly.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Edgemont with Pastor Marion Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Edgemont Cemetery.
