Inez M. (Wallace) Rust, age 96, of Ardmore, SD, passed away on March 7, 2014, at Castle Manor in Hot Springs, SD.
Inez was born in Ardmore, on December 21, 1917, to William and Lena (Rivers) Guffey. She attended school in Ardmore for a few years but mostly helped her mother baby sit the other kids and attended to chores around the home.
Inez married Robert E. Wallace of Ardmore on July 19, 1940. They lived on the ranch near Ardmore until the passing of her husband in 1983. Then she moved to Edgemont and later married Floyd Rust. She was a member of the Rebecca lodge of Edgemont and attended senior citizens everyday that she could. She really enjoyed all the friends she had.
Inez spent her last years at Castle Manor in Hot Springs, where the nurses said she was a complete joy to take care of.
Inez is survived by her two sons, James (Pene) Wallace of Surprise, AZ; John (Barbara) Wallace of Rose Hill, KS; daughter, Judy Wallace of Hot Springs; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena (Rivers) Guffey; husbands, Robert E. Wallace; Floyd Rust and son, Robert W. Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a. m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014, with a visitation one hour prior to service at the United Church in Edgemont with Pastor Tom Peacock officiating and Rev. Dr. J. Edwin Coates as a guest minister. Interment will be held at the Ranch Cemetery on Indian Creek.
In lieu of flowers the families suggests memorial be sent to the Edgemont Senior Citizens of Edgemont.
