My mother, Inge H. Luehrmann, 100, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away June 1, 2025.  She was born in Varel, Germany.   Her parents ran a soda and beer business. She was a wet 80 pounds and would haul the cases of beer and soda to the local taverns. She met my father and they got a sponsor over in the USA and moved to Illinois.  They came over on a ship to Ellis Island with a 2 yr old and in a greenhouse full of carnations. From there they moved to Indiana where my father worked in Bordens milk factory.  They moved back to Illinois and bought a home and my father worked as a carpenter.  They lived most of their life in Illinois then in the 70's moved to Florida when my father retired.  She was a feisty lady that lived life to the fullest.  She even helped me milk cows in Wisconsin, when my husband went to work.  There seemed to be nothing she couldn't do. RIP lovely lady.
