James Richard Fessler, 88, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away September 15, 2021, in Casper, Wyoming.

James was born September 8, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Jack and Alice (Garfield) Fessler.  James proudly served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1958.  He was an active member and faithful volunteer of the Hot Spring Wesleyan Church in Hot Springs, SD for many years.  He enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking, reading, building various things with his hands and spending time with friends.

James is survived by ​three adopted children: Autumn Lee Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; Davina Marie Borges of Chadron, Nebraska; and Minako "Mary Ann" Fessler of Seattle, Washington.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 25th at the Hot Springs Wesleyan Church, located at 2046 Canton Avenue, with Pastor Keegan Kingery officiating.
