James Wesley Hansen, age 60, of Custer, SD died on May 15, 2023, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

He was born to Wesley and Billie JoAnn (Jones) Hansen on November 15, 1962, in Hot Springs, SD. James graduated from Custer High School in 1981. He was married to his loving wife Delores for 24 years. They loved riding their Harley and dancing together. James cherished spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and really loved spoiling the great grandchildren.

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

James is survived by his wife, Delores and their eight children, Patricia (Kristyna) Mattison, Gregory (Aleesha) Bechel, Jeremy (Keren) Nicholson, Tamara Nicholson, Tanya Nicholson, Marque Hansen, Donavon Hansen, Preston (Trista) Hansen. His dad Wesley Hansen, brother Jeffery (Cherie) Hansen, sister Jennifer (Rick) (Hansen) Davis; twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

James is proceeded in death by his mom Billie JoAnn Hansen, aunts and uncles that have passed.

A celebration of James' Life visitation and sharing with family will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2023, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
