James 'Jim' Howard Hinson, age 71, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, at the Veteran Administration Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Jim is survived by his wife, Darlene 'Dollie' of Hot Springs; sons, Eric (Kathleen) Hinson of Colorado Springs, CO; Scott Hinson of Bend OR; daughters, Terry Berky of Richmond, TX; Tracy Witman of Laramie, WY; step-son, Jade Brink of Edwards, Co; step-daughter, Tara Larson of Hot Springs; brother, Milton (Lila) Hinson of Montgomery, MN; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2011, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at McColley's Chapel with Frank Carrol officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

A memorial has been established in Jim's name for Hospice Care. Donations may be sent in care of the family.
