Obituary
James Philip 'Jim' Maeder, 68, of Custer, SD, passed away May 19, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs, SD.
Jim served in the United States Air Force from September 18, 1962 until his honorable discharge on June 30, 1983.
He is survived by his son, Michael (Tina) Maeder of Great Falls, MT; daughter, Marianne Cascaden of Cocoa, FL; brothers, Ronald (Ann) Maeder of Bryant, AR; Jack (Gabby) Maeder of Antelope, CA; Dave Maeder of IN; Bob (Tina) Maeder of Slidell, LA; sister, Carolyn Lemberger of Wittenberg, WI and four grandchildren.
A family visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer.
Committal services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 25, 2012, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD. Military Honors will be provided by the Ellsworth Air Force Honor Guard.
A memorial has been established in Jim's name to benefit the Diabetes Research Foundation.
