James Ira White, age 73, of Dalton, NE, passed away on August 16, 2016, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs, SD.


James was born in Julesburg, CO, on November 30, 1942, to Ira and Viola (Bobo) White. At the age of 15, Evelyn (Brown) became his loving step mother after his mother's passing. He graduated from Dalton High School in 1961. James married Carole Thomas from Sydney in Dec. 1964. They were married 50 years.

James had a great sense of humor and loved playing billiards and golf. James was very creative and handy always working on a new project. James never met a stranger who didn't become his friend. He will be missed.

James is survived by; Carole White of North Platte, NE; sons, Rick (Bonnie) White of Aurora, CO; JJ (Deanna) White of Lexington, NE; David White; daughters, LeAnn (Jeff) Peterman of Stacy, MN; Jackie (Mike) Kaminski of Fox Point, WI; Joy (Corey) Roeder of North Platte; brothers, Ron White; Jack (Judy) White of AZ; step sisters and brother, Shirley (Bud) Gillespie of Dalton, NE; Joan Garrison of Eugene, OR; Harold Brown of Dalton; brothers and sisters in law, Dave and Kay Koos of Indian Land, SC; Steve and Ann Halloran of Hastings, NE, and 12 grandchildren.
