Janet was born on March 15, 1925, in Oak Town, IN to Herbert and Nellie (Joslin) Harritt. She was a high school graduate from Linton Stockton High School. Janet married Earl Dale Wellington on December 31, 1947. She had a career at Ampex Electronics in the assembly line.

Janet loved singing in church choir and being with friends and family. She also loved reading Danielle Steel novels.

Janet is survived by her son, Rick D. Wellington, (Connie); grandchildren, Kelly (Jay) Roach; Jeff Wellington; and great grandchildren, Tyler and Aaron Roach.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Herbert, Nellie Joslin, and her husband, Dale Wellington.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Custer Lutheran Fellowship Church in Custer, SD.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
