Jerald Lloyd Greenough, 44, of Rapid City, SD passed away November 21, 2007 at his home.

Jerald was born September 6, 1963 to Bill and Norma (Waddell) Greenough in Hot Springs, SD. He lived his early years in northeast Bennett County, and at the age of 14, moved with his family to a ranch southeast of Oelrichs.

While in high school Jerald enjoyed participating in sports, especially football. He graduated from Oelrichs High School in 1981 and then attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND. On September 3, 1994 he married Renee Waters. The highlight of his life was the birth of his son, Westly. Due to poor health, Jerald moved to Rapid City in 1997. However, he spent as much time as he could on the family ranch with his son, whom he loved to take fishing. His favorite sports became fishing and playing games with friends at family gatherings, where he will be greatly missed.

Jerald is survived by one son, Westly; his parents, Bill and Norma; one sister, Lisa (Kevin); one brother, Heath; one niece, Nicole; former wife, Renee as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2007 with a viewing one hour prior to the services at the United Methodist Church in Oelrichs with Pastor Ed Coats and Pastor David Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery near Oelrichs.

A memorial has been established in Jerald's name.
