Jeri LeRoy Hewitt, age 53, of Custer, SD passed away September 24 ^th , 2019 at his residence in Custer.  Jeri was born February 5, 1966, to Robert and Maxine Hewitt.  He attended school in Custer.  Jeri worked as a welder and in the timber for several years.  Later, he took a position with the City of Custer and worked there until the time of his death.  He was preceded in death; by the love of his life Kathy Herrlein, his parents Robert & Maxine Hewitt, brother Jim Hewitt, sister Angela Hewitt, and sister Jacque Wood, brother-in-law Jon Amick.  He is survived by his beloved son Robert Hewitt, of Custer, SD; his sister Dawn Amick, of Billings, MT; his sister Francine Johannson (Mark), of Buffalo, WY; his brother Jay Hewitt (Cheryl), of Spearfish, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Jeri's request there will be no services.  The family would like to invite his friends to a celebration of life on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 2:00 PM at the VFW in Custer, SD.

In lieu of flowers, a fund will be established for his son Robert.  The family of Jeri greatly appreciates all the thoughts and prayers from everyone.
