Jerry Alan Hamaker Sr, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Edgemont, SD on July 9 ^th 2021.

Jerry was born at the Sisters Hospital in Hot Springs, SD on June 6 ^th , 1952, to Tim and Ruth Hamaker.

He retired from the South Dakota Dept of Transportation in 2013.  Since then, he enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, fishing with his grandchildren and taking care of a variety of animals, from raccoons to stray cats to dogs. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Hamaker Jr.; grandsons, Logan and Weston; sisters, Linda Olmstead; Mary Hattervig (Mike); LuJean Haskvitz (Don); brother, Bob Hamaker (Rosie); brother-in-law, Gary Cummings; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Tim and Ruth; sister, Judy Cummings; nephew, Trampus Haskvitz; brother-in-law, Ed Olmstead.
