Obituary
Jerry R. Hunt, age 73, of Custer, SD, passed away June 17, 2016, at his home in Custer.
Jerry was born July 19, 1942, in Custer, SD to Elmer and Mavis (Veren) Hunt. Jerry was married to Bonnie L. (Simons) Hunt for 52 years, moving to Arizona and worked as a Supervisor in a concrete cement block plant, returning to Custer the last 17 years. Jerry loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, boating, hunting and spending time with his family. Jerry enjoyed 6 years traveling and motor homing. Jerry was a loving husband, father, poppie and uncle.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Bonnie Hunt; son, Robbie (Christina) Hunt of CA; daughters, Robyn (Mark) Schlotterback of IA; Kristine (Jeff Augusta) Hunt of AZ; brothers, Lyle Hunt of SD; Ray (Anne) Hunt of NV; sister, Doris Adrianson of AZ; grandchildren, Krystal, Kyle, Hydi, Kelon, Karl; great grandchildren, Avery, Taryn, Karter, Journi, Mariah, Kyra, Zoe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Gene; and a great granddaughter, Isabella.
At Jerry's request no services will be held.
A memorial has been established in Jerry's name to benefit MDA or Hospice of the Hills.
