Jesse Daniel Scherer, age 31, of Scottsbluff, NE, died March 5, 2012 in a one vehicle accident near Loveland, CO. Jesse was born on November 26, 1980 to Daniel and Amy (Fallon) Scherer in Deadwood, SD. Jesse lived and attended school in Sturgis, SD until the age of 14 at which time his family moved to
Custer, SD where he attended high school and graduated in 1999.
After high school Jesse attended Western Dakota Technical Institute and graduated with an Associate's Degree in computer technology. Jesse spent one season working in the oil fields of WY before moving to Scottsbluff, NE where he worked as a computer technician.
On February 17, 2006, the light of Jesse's life was born: Ysabella Joey Scherer. Jesse was a devoted and loving father who lived for his daughter. She returned his love and devotion.
Jesse loved children and they loved him. There was no face too silly to make and no length he would not go to make a child smile. His daughter and nieces will miss him very much.
Survivors include Jesse's daughter Ysabella, Scottsbluff, NE; his parents Daniel and Amy Scherer, Custer,
SD; brother Nathaniel (Janae)(nieces Aspen and Genevieve) Scherer, Custer, SD; sister Danielle Scherer and her fiancé Anthony Kitchens, Rapid City, SD; paternal grandparents Henry and Ramona Scherer and maternal grandparents William and Dolores Fallon all of Sturgis, SD. Jesse is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Custer Lutheran Fellowship in Custer, with Pastor Tom Opoien and Pastor Kent Narum officiating.
A memorial has been established in Jesse's name to benefit his daughter.
