Joan Jean 'Jo' Arneson, age 69, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at her home in Hot Springs, SD.Jo was born December 14, 1940, in Winner, SD, to Eugene and Helen (Thietje) Schweigert. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked for several years as an administrative assistant for the Hot Springs School District.Jo is survived by her husband, Lyle of Hot Springs; daughters, Deann Arneson of Hot Springs; Julie Arneson of Questa, NM; son, Garrett Arneson of Sicklerville, NJ; sister, Audrey Trautman of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren and numerous foster grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Dwayne Hunzeker officiating.A memorial has been established in Jo's name to benefit the Minnekahta Volunteer Fire Department.Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.
