Obituary
John Charles Christensen, 94, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away December 20, 2018, at the Pine Hills Retirement Community in Hot Springs.
John was born September 4, 1924, to John and Ruby (Davis) Christensen in Lytton, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 until his honorable discharge in 1945.
John is survived by his son, John (Peggy) Christensen of Rapid City, SD; daughter, Lora (Bill) Staten of San Diego, CA; and nine grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel; parents; and daughter, Jean Gilkey.
Committal services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
