John Daniel 'Jack' Linahan, age 76 of Custer, SD, passed away January 2, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Jack retired from the National Park Service after 46 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Delores 'Dee' Linahan of Custer; two sons, John (Mary Beth) Linahan of Lafayette, LA; and Michael (Shelly) Linahan of Cheju City, Republic of Korea.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2010 with prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 7, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Custer with Father Peter Kovarik officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Jack's name to benefit the George B. Hertzog, Jr. Educational Loan Program.
