John Augustus Flyte, age 84, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away on May 3, 2016, at his home in Hot Springs.
John was born on January 16, 1932, in Gregory, SD, to Samuel and Alice (Veskerna) Flyte. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1952, until his honorable discharge in 1954.
John is survived by his sons, Jonathan Flyte of Hot Springs; Gregory Flyte of Hot Springs; daughters, Jodi Stanley of Hot Springs; Karen (Terry) Bergen of Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada; brother, Charlie Flyte of Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Copmmittal services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Fairview Cemetery near Oral, SD.
