John Albert Ince, Jr., age 52, of Hot Springs, SD, died December 13, 2006 at his home in Hot Springs, SD.
John was born July 22, 1954 in Hot Springs, SD to John Albert Ince, Sr. and Della (Burns) Ince. He was raised in Custer and attended Custer Public Schools until 1971. John joined the United States Army in 1971 and was stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge in 1973 John returned to Hot Springs, where he worked at the Sanitation Department.
John married Juanita Hamar in 1977. He lived in Mt. Vernon from 1985 to 1988 and worked Syncom, making the old style floppy disks. While in Mt. Vernon he enlisted in the 147th Artillery National Guard Unit. He then moved to Springfield, SD in 1988 to 1997 and attended MTI and graduated in Culinary Arts. After graduating he worked at Sunshine Bakery. John returned to Hot Springs in 1997 to present. While in Hot Springs he worked for the City Dump.
John loved his family very much. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, had a passion for mechanics and appreciated the Black Hills while riding his Harley.
John is survived by his four children, Michael (Brittany) Ince of Box Elder, SD; Steve DeSersa (Ginny Dolezel) of Hot Springs, SD; Traci (Joseph) McGregor of Mitchell, SD; and their mother, Juanita; Christa Ince of Sacramento, CA; mother, Della Ince of Custer, SD; special friend, Carol Harden of Hot Springs, SD; brother, Franklin (Ruth) Ince of Rapid City, SD; nine grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, December 17, 2006 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, December 18, 2006 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs, SD with Pastor Bill Savery officiating.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
A memorial has been established in John's name.
