John David Pierce, 59, of Edgemont, SD died suddenly November 22, 2006 at his home in Edgemont, SD.

John proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from October, 1964 until his honorable discharge in December, 1964.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Pierce of Edgemont; two sons, John (Latrice) Hooten of Ft. Lewis, WA; Troy Hooten of Edgemont, SD; one daughter, Tammy (Tony) Regno of Modesto, CA; four brothers, Tom Hooten, Paul Hooten, Ricky Hooten, Joey Hooten; one sister, Sandy (Ray) Alissie of Ceres, CA; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Father Zandri officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard.
