Obituary
Jolene Grace (Peltier) Villa, age 41, of Rapid City, SD, passed away on June 11, 2015 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Jolene was born March 24, 1974, in Devils Lake, ND, to Linda (Lincoln) and Joseph Peltier and was a member of the Spirit Lake Sioux Tribe. She was raised by her foster parents, Walt and Judy Wilson of Piedmont, SD. Jolene lived in many places and made many many (and we mean many) friends. She married Bonifacio "Boni" Villa on December 6, 2013.
Jolene enjoyed life to the fullest. She never met a stranger; everyone was a friend or a person she could help. Her generosity was boundless – and her work as a server or waitress gave her great joy to chat with people and make new friends. Jolene liked a clean car and a cleaner house; she never met a vacuum or broom she didn't want to use. She enjoyed walking her dog, Miah May; hiking, camping and fishing with her husband, Boni; and being Auntie Jo-Jo to her nieces and nephews, especially Antonio Coronado and Julio, Zachary, Delmar and Shania Peltier all of Rapid City, SD.
Survivors include her husband: Boni of Rapid City; her step-daughter: Emiliea; her sisters: Michelle Thomas of Phoenix, AZ; Angela (Mario) Rodriguez Davila of Rapid City; Sonya Peltier (Andrew Perez) of Phoenix, AZ; and Heidi Peltier of Rapid City; aunts and uncles in North Dakota including Auntie Camilla Smith of Devils Lake, ND; numerous nieces and nephews, including Joel, Jabiah and Darci Castro of Phoenix, AZ; foster parents: Walt and Judy Wilson of Piedmont, SD; foster brothers and sisters: Dan (Joan) Wilson of Piedmont, SD; Kerry (Bob) Beyer of Hermosa, SD; Reeny Wilson of Rapid City, SD; Doug (Kelli) Wilson of Piedmont; and Lorna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Linda and Joseph; a brother, Joel and her baby son, Michael.
Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2015, from 4pm-7pm at Chamberlain-McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 10:30am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, with Fr. Kerry Prendiville as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery.
