Joseph Hardy, age 86 of Hot Springs, SD passed away June 6, 2008 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hot Springs.

Joseph was born February 11, 1922 in Harrison, NJ to Michael J. and Ellen (McStravick) Hardy.

He served in the US Air Force from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1945. On February 20, 1949 he married Mary B. Conklin.

Joseph is survived by his wife Mary B. Hardy of Hot Springs; one son, Joseph M. Hardy of Denver, CO. and one daughter, Mary J. Hardy of Hot Springs.

Preceding him in death were one son, Michael P. Hardy and one daughter, Ellen V. Hardy.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota
