Joseph "Joe" James Kanarick of Rapid City, SD, former resident of Chadron, NE, died at Rapid City Regional Hospital on April 22, 2014.

Joe was born on March 10, 1939 to Stanley and Mary (Sedlak) Kanarick in Pittston, PA. On August 24, 1963, he married Mary Avery in Powell, WY.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances (Fran) Kanarick; four children, spouses and families: Marti Webster and husband Brian; Matthew Kanarick, wife, Kimberly, sons, Matthew and Vaughn; Marci Kanarick, husband Robert Godinez, sons, Mitch Peterson, Joey Godinez and daughter Ivey Godinez; Mary Tiensvold, husband, Mick and son, Michael.

Rosary service will be held Friday, April 25 at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be Saturday, April 26 at 2:00 pm.  Both will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 4500 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Boys Club of Rapid City, also, do an act of kindness for someone. Pass it on.
