Obituary

Josepha (Nanneman, Waddell) Willis, 96, of rural Custer, SD, died on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Dee (Don) Hone in Custer.


She is survived by four daughters: Juanita Breeden of Buckley, WA, Beatrice Henry of Tacote, Mexico, Shirley (Mike) Whittington of Hemet, CA, and Dolores (Don) Hone of Custer, SD; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren; also five sisters: Teresa Kruessel, Rita Gaydusek, Gertrude Henke, Sr. Bernelda OSB, and Jean (Wilfred) Henke.


She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Larry Breeden; seven brothers: Bernard, George, Lawrence, Ernest, Martin, Vincent, Virgil, and four sisters: Mary Diamond, Agnes Emmerich, Sr. Mary Virgil OSB, and Sr. Mary Edith OSB.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 10:00 am, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Custer with Fr. Tim Hoag officiating. A mass and memorial service will be held in Salisbury, MO, at a later date with committal services following at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Salisbury.
