Obituary

Joy Lynn Weber July 3, 1973 - March 13, 2021

Joy Weber, 49, was born in Denver, Colorado, on July 3, 1971.  She moved with her mother to Hot Springs, SD, in 1975 where she lived most of the time until she passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 13th, 2021,  at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Joy was a free spirit all her life, and had a heart that was larger than the world, she would help anyone if she thought they needed help and was a loving and caring person, in her very own way.  She loved to watch movies, listen to music, draw and most of all loved to visit with her friends on the phone.  Her biggest dream was to get to see the ocean and Malachi's father, Tom Gordon, made that dream come true a few years ago.

Joy was a member of the Piedmont Valley American Legion Auxiliary and always enjoyed helping the Veterans, and helping her Auxiliary sisters with Bingo and the Christmas Gift Shop at the Hot Springs VA.

Joy is survived by her two sons, Theodore (Rianna) Schmidt and Malachi Weber; her parents, Bruce and Susie Clyde; three brothers, Shannon (Heather) Clyde; David Clyde; Mark (Barbra) Stottsberry; two grandchildren, Elijah and Clare Schmidt; her dear friend, Galen Schmidt and many aunts, uncles, nieces, newphews and cousins that she loved and talked about often.

Joy had many friends and will be missed by all her friends and family.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
