Obituary
Judith Ann Winter, age 71, formerly of Hot Springs, SD, passed away October 23, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Judith was born April 2, 1940, in Odanah, WI to Clinton and Mary (Beason) MacArthur. Judith began working at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. She married Duane Winter, Sr. on June 22, 1962. Duane retired and relocated to Hot Springs in July 1992. Judith continued working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Fall River Hospital, Castle Manor, and the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home, all in Hot Springs. She retired in 2001. In 2009 she relocated to Rapid City. Judith was a member of the South Canyon Baptist Church in Rapid City.
Survivors include her son, Duane Winter, Jr. of Albany, OR; daughter, Pamela Ann Harvey of Waldron, AR; and two grandchildren, Lindsay Liin and Michael Harvey.
No memorial services have been planned. Burial will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD, at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Judith's name, contributions may be sent to The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota, The Atrium STE 135, 2626 E. 82nd Street, Bloomington, MN 55425-1380.
