Obituary

June Roseanne Hoskins-Pierce, 31, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away in her sleep on September 7, 2013. She was born June 6, 1982, in Fairbanks, AK. As a child, she lived in Fairbanks, AK; Azle, TX; Grand Junction, CO: Dearborn, MI and finally in Hot Springs. She attended and graduated from Hot Springs High School. She was a friend to everyone with whom she had contact. She loved being with her friends and family. She also loved to travel. She always wanted to visit with friends and family in other states and Canada.

On March 24, 2011, she married Troy Allen Pierce and they made their home in Hot Springs. June and Troy were blessed in having two small daughters, Samantha Rae 2 years old and Kelsey 2 ½ months old.
June also shared in the love for her step-daughter, Kendra Pierce, 10 years old, of Sturgis.

June had several jobs growing up but the one she truly enjoyed the most was working as a bartender at the American Legion, Post 71. If you couldn't find her anywhere else, you could always find her there, working, helping others and just enjoying the friends that she had made there.

June was a friend to everyone. She had a smile that would brighten up the room when she walked in. The biggest pleasure in her life was being a mother. She loved her daughters with all of her heart and then some.

Survivors include her loving husband, Troy and daughters Samantha and Kelsey and her step-daughter Kendra; her parents Janet and Wayne Ray of Hot Springs; her father Jessie Hoskins of Virginia; her grandmother Thelma Steel of Bend, OR; her sister Jamie Hoskins and nephew Zachery Hoskins of Bremerton WA; her sister Janel Scholz (Richard Scholz) and nephews Michael, Mathew and nieces Brianna and Danika of Belle Plaine, MN. She is also survived by Troy's parents, Ben and Terry Gossel of Hot Springs; and his father Sam Pierce of Hot Springs. Survived also by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

Memorial services were held on Friday, September 12, 2013 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

A memorial has been established in June's name for her children.
