Kali Teasley passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2019, at the age of 24, soon to be

25, while away at grad school in Vermillion, SD.

Kali was born in Great Falls, MT on March 21, 1994, to Kevin and Cathy Teasley. She was

homeschooled by her parents from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and began pursuing further

education at Black Hills State University in 2013, where she later received her associate

degree in Applied Health Science. Kali took a semester off to travel Europe in 2015, and when

she returned, she enrolled in the University of South Dakota and graduated summa cum laude

with a Bachelor's of Science in Speech and Communication Disorders in 2018. Kali was

continuing her education, earning a doctorate in Audiology at the Graduate School of the

University of South Dakota.

Kali was a devoted sister, daughter, and aunt. She was dedicated to fitness and enjoyed Yoga,

Piyo, rock climbing, and hiking Crazy Horse during the Volksmarch in June, continually trying

to beat her own recorded time. She waited tables at quite a few restaurants in Custer, SD

every summer, diligently earning money for her college education. She served as a Resident

Assistant in college for nearly 4 years, and always went above and beyond to help a fellow

student in need. Kali strived to be a listening ear or an encouraging voice, and always knew

just what to say.

Kali so enjoyed music, and was learning to play piano, guitar, and ukulele. She loved going to

concerts and road tripped to one every chance she got, never letting anyone else drive. She

was very spiritual in her day to day life and found meaning in everything.

Kali will be so dearly missed by family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross

paths with her.

Kali is survived by her parents, Kevin and Cathy Teasley; grandparents, Ethel and Jules

Teasley, sisters; Thea Teasley, Maya George, Juli Teasley, and Kori Teasley.

Kali is predeceased by her aunt, Christie Sparks; grandparents, Mildred and Clifford Bowman Sr.

A visitation will be 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home, 234 N. 6 ^th St., Custer, SD.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019, at the Custer Lutheran Fellowship, 12622 US Highway 16A, Custer, SD , with Rev. Pamela Power officiating. Committal services will follow at the Custer Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in Kali's name. Memorials may be sent to Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home, 234 N. 6 ^th St., Custer, SD 57730.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
