Kenneth D. Lorang was born August 21, 1934, in Lead, SD, to Geoge and Della Lorang.  He graduated from Lead High School in 1952 and went on to Rapid City Business College receiving an accounting degree.  He worked as an accountant at the Homestake Gold Mine and also in Hobbs, NM.  He eventually took a job in Sante Fe, NM, where he was an accountant for the State of New Mexico.  He was married and had two children, Karen and Dominic.

After many years of bachelor life, he met up with his college sweetheart, Liz, and they were married 25 years.  He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and loved his church family.  He enjoyed cooking, baking, hunting and boondocking.  He was a very giving and humble man who loved the Lord.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry and Carroll and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Liz; a brother, Malcom of Dallas, TX; a son, Dominc  of Las Cruces, NM; three daughters, Karen of Salisbury; MD; Deb of Hot Springs, SD; Penny (Mark) of Chiloquin, OR; many nieces; nephews and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2024, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Hot Springs, SD with committal services following at Fairview Cemetery.

Any memorials may be made to Bethesda Lutheran School.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
