Kenneth Marion Settles, 96 of Custer, SD, passed away August 25, 2021.

Ken was born September 6, 1924, in Greeley, CO, to Marion and Velma (King) Settles.  He married Neva Jackson in 1942.

Ken proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 184th AAA Battalion in Normandy/Northern France and Rhineland/Central Europe from 1943 until his honorable discharge as a sergeant in 1946.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Dede Christopher of Custer, SD.; grandchildren, Dylan Christopher; Trevor Christopher; Dara Simmons; great grandchildren, Anthony Christopher; Valorie Simmons and Taryn Yttri, all of Colorado.

He will be remembered for his loving support of his family, joy for being outdoors in natural beauty, fishing and observing wildlife, and his overall upbeat and positive outlook.

Per Ken's request, no services will be held.  Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in the future.
