Larry B. Jost, age 74, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away November 17, 2011, at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Hot Springs.

Larry was born December 14, 1936, in Lebanon, SD, to A. Ben and Oralle (Rowse) Jost. He grew up on the family farm outside of Hoven, SD. Larry graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1954. He attended South Dakota State University in Brookings.

He served in the US Navy from 1954, until his honorable discharge in 1957. In June 1958 he married Florence Gordon in Gettysburg, SD.

Larry had the Standard Oil bulk dealership in Lebanon for 15 years. He also worked at North American, Silver King, Custom Craft in Edgemont, and Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs before retiring in 2001.

Survivors include His wife, Florence of Hot Springs; daughter, Kelly (Randy) Wolfe of Summerset, SD; sons, Kevin (Tammy) Jost of Edmond, OK; Kerry (Annie) Jost of Hot Springs; son-in-law, Jes Degnan of Hot Springs; brothers, Dennis (Sola) Jost of Agar, SD; Ronald (Eileen) Jost of Hoven, SD; sister, Doreen (Chuck) Monroid of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren, Zach Jost, Delaney Jost, Calyn Degnan, Gina Jost and Lacey Jost.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kim Degnan and granddaughter, Cassidy Degnan.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2011, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at the United Churches in Hot Springs with Pastor Dale Pracht officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 21st, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

A memorial has been established in Larry's name.
