Larry Norman Roberts, 73, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away at his home on November 16, 2023.
Larry Roberts was a beloved member of his community. He was known for his kind heart, excellent storytelling, jovial sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his faith. As a minister for nearly 20 years, he touched the lives of countless individuals, offering spiritual counsel and support during their times of need, earning the respect and admiration of his congregations.
In addition to his work as a minister, Larry also served as a high school history teacher. He was passionate about education and never ceased to find ways to capture his students' attention. His winsome teaching style and commitment to his students wellbeing were the hallmarks of his teaching career. His students remember him as an engaging, entertaining, and inspiring teacher, always willing to lend a sympathetic ear.
Larry's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years Lee, his son Christopher Roberts, his daughter Rachel Cascarelli, and four wonderful grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Although Larry is no longer with us, his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. He will be remembered as a kind, joyful, steady, and selfless individual who made the world a better place.
Christian Funeral Vigil will be held 7:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD.
Christian Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 27, 2023, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Hot Springs, SD.
