Lauren Hubert 'Des' Des Laurier, 89, of Hot Springs, SD passed away September 19, 2008 at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Home.
Des was born April 26, 1919 to Vetal and Eva (Gregoire) Des Laurier in Vermillion, SD.
Des is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of Hot Springs; son, Dan Des Laurier of Renton, WA; daughters, Susan (Joseph) Bova of Federal Way, WA; Joan (Robert) Duffin of Moses Lake, WA; step-son, Dan (Napua) Dahlquist of Renton, WA; step-daughter, Kathy (Craig) Pasquinelli of Covington, WA; brother, Rene (Darlene) Des Laurier of Grand Island, NE; sisters, Yvonne Maurice of Vallejo, CA; Marie (Bill) Mathews of Vallejo, CA; Olive Blair of Waitsburg, WA as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Veterans Home in Hot Springs with Pastor Mark Crossman officiating.
Committal will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2008 at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fitzmaurice State Home in Des' name.
Arrangements are pending and have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Written condolences may be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com.
